An apostille (French: Apostille) is an internationally standardized form of certification that gives a document legal force in the territory of a foreign state. An “Apostille” stamp confirms the authenticity of the signature and seal on the certified document and certifies the position of the person who signed it. A document can be apostilled only if the country to which it will be sent is a party to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 (List of countries that have signed the Hague Convention).

Even if a state is a party to the Hague Convention, an apostille may not be required because Russia has concluded legal assistance treaties with the list of countries that abolish the requirement to apostille documents.

The relevant authority is determined by the type of document that needs to be certified:

The basic principle for issuing an apostille is that it must be affixed in the country or region where the document was issued.
The translation bureau EUROSPACE also handles the apostille certification of documents throughout the Russian Federation and abroad.
Free consultationIf a document is damaged, contains additions or corrections, or has been lost, a duplicate must be obtained from the authority that originally issued it in order to affix an Apostille stamp.
If you are short on time and unable to handle obtaining a new document yourself, we will do it for you. With a notarized power of attorney, our bureau's employees can obtain any certificates, extracts, records, and duplicate educational documents. Thus, we also offer a document retrieval service throughout the Russian Federation. The turnaround time and cost are calculated individually, depending on the document type and the region from which it must be retrieved.
We cooperate with colleagues worldwide, so arranging an Apostille in a foreign country is a task we can handle.

+7 343 237-27-87An apostille in Yekaterinburg is required to confirm the authenticity of a signature and seal on documents that will be presented abroad. EUROSPACE helps determine the appropriate procedure, obtain a duplicate, and prepare the documents.
An apostille is used for documents intended for countries that are parties to the Hague Convention. However, individual mutual legal assistance agreements may eliminate this requirement, so the procedure depends on the destination country.
The authority depends on the type of document: civil registry offices issue apostilles for their certificates and statements, the Ministry of Internal Affairs does so for criminal record certificates, the Ministry of Justice for notarized and court documents, and the Ministry of Education for educational documents.
If a document is worn, contains corrections, or has been lost, a duplicate may first be required from the authority that issued it. EUROSPACE also helps obtain documents when a notarized power of attorney is available.
